Mitch Wise Named ESPN Zone Anaheim Anteater of the Week

Irvine, Calif. -- UC Irvine men's water polo player Mitch Wise has been named this week's ESPN Zone Anaheim Anteater of the Week.
The junior driver from Beaverton, Oregon was a key participant in two of UC Irvine's wins this past weekend's at the Gary Troyer Tournament at Haldeman Pool in Claremont on Saturday. Wise added three goals to lead fourth-ranked UC Irvine over Whittier College, 18-4. In the second game on Saturday Wise yet again scored three goals apiece, as UC Irvine defeated Cal Lutheran, 14-6. Wise now has scored three goals in five different games this season, and is second on the team to Bojan Hrlec in total goals scored with 42.
The fourth-ranked 'Eaters, who improved to 14-3 on the season, open Mountain Pacific Sports Federation play at Pepperdine on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Malibu.
