IRVINE, Calif. --- Redshirt sophomore Mitch Wise scored a career-high six goals to lead No. 6 UC Irvine over Redlands, 20-2, in the UCI Invitational Sunday at Anteater Pool. 

Wise scored four of his goals in the first half as the 'Eaters built a 9-1 lead at the break.

Junior Winston Newland scored a career-high four goals and senior Trent Baxter also notched four for UCI (2-0).  Junior Nick Pfeil and redshirt freshman Jacob Mourer added two goals each.

Alex Kazmier started in goal and had five saves in the first half while Michael Bailey played the final two quarters, recording seven stops.

UCI scored the first nine goals of the game.

Cabot Ferrill and Jeff Parsons scored goals for the Bulldogs.

The 'Eaters host California Baptist in a non-conference game Thursday night at 7:00.
