U.S Beats Mexico In Opening Round of World University Games

Irvine, Calif. --  UC Irvine's Carson Clark recorded three points in the U.S. Men's Indoor Team's 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-15) opening round victory over Mexico at the World University Games Friday in Shenzhen, China.

The U.S. will continue Pool D action against Turkey on Saturday at 6 p.m., followed by Czech Republic on Aug. 15, United Arab Emirates on Aug. 16 and Thailand on Aug. 17. After an off-day, the tournament moves into the quarterfinal round on Aug. 19, followed by the semifinals on Aug. 20 and medal matches on Aug. 22.
