Two Anteaters Among West Region's Finest

IRVINE, Calif. --- Two seniors kept the run of men's soccer awards going with Continental Tires NSCAA All-West Region honors. Midfielder Miguel Ibarra (Lancaster / Taft College) and keeper Andrew Fontein (Las Vegas, Nev. / Sierra Vista HS) represented UCI.
Ibarra made the first team while Fontein made it on the third team making it the third time in the last four years the 'Eaters have gotten two players on the All-West Region team.
Overall, UC Irvine has had 13 selections to the team from 11 different players now including at least one player in six of the last seven years.
The men finished up at 16-6-1 in 2011 and returned to the NCAA Tournament.
