Chloe Fata is Top UC Irvine Runner at NCAA West Regional

 

Final Results

STANFORD, Calif. --- Junior Chloe Fata was the first UC Irvine runner across the finish line at the NCAA West Regional Saturday.

She placed 85th over 6,000 meters at the Stanford University Golf Course with a time of 22:02.  Jordan Hasay of Oregon won the race in 19:44.

UCI's Melissa Mead was 115th in 22:23, Maggie McDuffee 152nd in 22:57 and Kaycee Holcomb 173rd in 23:16.

Marthie Ponty placed 193rd in 23:56, Maggie Newton-Neal was 202nd in 24:18 and Nicole Mendoza 206th in 24:29.

UCI finished 23rd of 31 teams with 707 points.  Washington won the team championship with 50 points, Arizona was second with 98 and Stanford third with 111.
