Big West Conference Televison Release

IRVINE, Calif. --- PRIME TICKET cameras visit the Bren Events Center this season for two UC Irvine men's basketball games as the Big West Conference television schedule was released Monday.

PRIME is scheduled to televise the Homecoming game against UC Riverside Jan. 28 at 5:00 p.m. and the Feb. 25 contest versus Cal State Northridge at 7:30 p.m.

UCI's home game against Pacific is one of four Big West wild-card games Feb. 4, with ESPNU and FOX Sports West selecting two of the contests to televise.

Coach Russell Turner's 'Eaters were 2-0 at home last season with the Big West television package, defeating UC Santa Barbara and Pacific before enthusiastic Bren Center crowds on FOX Sports West.

UCI opens its 2011-12 schedule with a pair of home exhibition games, facing California Baptist Nov. 2 and San Diego Christian Nov. 5 at 7:00 p.m. in the Bren Center.

The youthful Anteater squad that includes eight freshmen and no seniors begins regular-season play at California Nov. 11.  The Golden Bears are ranked No. 21 in the Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook Preseason Top 25.

UCI's regular-season home opener is Nov. 19 against Weber State at 4:30 p.m. in the second half of a doubleheader with the Anteater women's team, which hosts Utah State at 2:00 that afternoon.
