Final Results
RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- UC Irvine placed sixth in the Big West Conference Championship Saturday morning at the UC Riverside Agricultural Operations Course.
UCI totaled 158 points as UC Davis won the title with 47. Long Beach State was second with 61, UC Santa Barbara third with 62, Cal Poly fourth with 88 and UC Riverside fifth with 115.
Long Beach State's Rosa Del Toro was the individual winner with a time of 20:27.0 over the 6,000-meter course.
Freshman Kaycee Holcomb led the Anteaters with a 17th-place finish of 21:18.7, Melissa Mead was 26th in 21:28.9 and Chloe Fata 27th in 21:31.4.
UCI's Maggie McDuffee placed 48th with a time of 22:36.2, Marthie Ponty was 50th in 22:42.2, Maggie Newton-Neal 58th (23:12.1), Nicole Mendoza 60th (23:14.8), Mary Follo 62nd (23:27.5) and Shelley Foerster 65th (23:46.3).
UCI competes in the NCAA West Regional Nov. 12 at the Stanford Golf Course.
