Andrew Fontein Named ESPN Zone Anaheim Anteater Of The Week

Irvine, Calif. -- UC Irvine men's soccer player Andrew Fontein has been named this week's ESPN Zone Anaheim Anteater of the Week.

The senior goalkeeper from Las Vegas was named Big West Defensive Player of the Week after recording 15 saves against Cal State Fullerton and a shutout versus Cal State Northridge.

Fontein is also a candidate for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award which honors senior student-athletes in four areas: community, classroom, character and competition. Vote Now

Currently, Fontein has logged 6,032 minutes of play in 64 career matches with 45 wins and 25 shutouts.

Men's soccer travels to No. 4 Creighton on October 15^th.
