
UC Irvine Opens Price's 'Give 'em Five' Intercollegiate In Tenth Place

Las Cruces, NM -- UC Irvine opened with a first round score of 302 and are tied for 10th place at the Price's "Give 'em Five" Intercollegiate held at the New Mexico State University Golf Course Monday.
UCI finished the day tied for 10th with Mississippi State after posting an opening round score of 302 (+14).
Senior Lalita Patipaksiri is tied for 16th with a score of 73 over 18 holes to lead the Anteaters. Freshman Michelle Yang is tied for 22nd (74), sophomore Ronnie Valerio is in tied for 46th after recording a score of 77 and freshman Sarah Baek shot a 78 and is tied for 56th. Sophomore Taryn Yee is tied for 64th with a score of 79.
Long Beach State leads the 16-team field with a score 287. Individually, the field is led by Baylor's Chelsey Cothran and Idaho's Teo Poplawski, both of whom shot a round of 69 (-3).
The three-day tournament continues Tuesday starting with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. PT and continues Wednesday at 7:00 a.m.
