UC Irvine will host the UC Irvine Invitational presented by Kia Monday and Tuesday (Feb. 24-25) at the Santa Ana Country Club.
The winner of the UC Irvine Invitational presented by Kia will receive a sponsor exemption in to the 2014 Kia Classic March 27-30 at Aviara Golf Club.
The 54-hole tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Monday. The teams will go off Holes 1 and 10 Tuesday beginning at 7:45 for the final round.
Live scoring of all three rounds of tournament will be provided on Golfstat.com.
Santa Ana Country Club plays at par-72, 5,842-yards.
The tournament field includes Stanford, Pepperdine, Texas A&M, UC Davis, UC Riverside, Hawaii, Nevada, Portland State, San Francisco, Long Beach State, Gonzaga, Idaho and host UC Irvine. Four individuals will also be participating.
Alice Kim of Gonzaga won last year's event with a three-round score of 215 (67-72-76). Gonzaga captured the team title with a two-day total of 885 (295-298-292).
UCI started the spring schedule with a 10th place finish at the Peg Barnard Invitational. The Anteaters tied Long Beach State for 10th with a 36-hole score of 605 (297-308).
UC Irvine was led by junior Sara Banke (74-73) and senior Ronnie Valerio (71-76) who tied for 12th with a score of 147.
