McClanahan joins the UC Irvine baseball staff in 2018 as a graduate assistant. As a member of the squad from 2012-15, McClanahan played in 206 games, sixth-most in program history, starting 193 of them primarily as a catcher.
McClanahan was drafted following the 2015 season by the Baltimore Orioles in the 19th round playing parts of three years between Low and Advanced.
