California Irvine Athletics

Ashley Letrich was promoted to the Assistant Athletic Director, Compliance in October 2021.  In her current role, Letrich oversees the Compliance Department and works directly with the Athletics Certification officer on incoming/continuing eligibility, along with numerous NCAA reporting.  Letrich has a long string of duties ranging from recruiting and admissions to education and interpretations.  Letrich is responsible for waivers across the department and acts as a liaison to numerous parties on campus.  

Ashley Letrich came to UCI as the Compliance Coordinator in October 2018. While in this role, Letrich wass primarily responsible for initial and transfer eligibility, recruiting, as well as department support for NCAA reports, waivers, interpretations, and rules education. Prior to this role, Letrich was at Loyola University Chicago from 2017-2018 working as a Compliance Intern.

 
While there, Letrich was responsible for initial and continuing eligibility, financial aid, roster management, and playing and practice season. Letrich also helped with game day operations for men and women’s volleyball home games.
 

Prior to LUC, Letrich was both the interim head and assistant collegiate water polo coach at California State University, Northridge from 2015-2017, as well as a coach at Washington and Jefferson College from 2014-2015. As a coach, Letrich became a member of the Women of Water Polo and Coaching (WOWPAC).  Letrich led her teams to multiple winning seasons and broke records at each school she was at.  

Letrich graduated from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor of Science in 2014 with a major of Psychology and minors in Communication and Mathematics. She earned her Masters in Sport Administration and Athletics from Gonzaga University in 2018.
