Bridget Devaney is a first-year assistant throws coach with the Anteaters. She completed her college career at UC Irvine and graduated in 2016 with a degree in criminology, law and society. She was a hammer and discus thrower for the UCI track & field team.

Originally from San Luis Obispo, Calif., Devaney began participating in track & field at a young age, coached through the years by her mother, Kathy, an All-American discus thrower and collegiate coach. She balanced throwing with soccer and volleyball, but eventually made the decision to pursue the discus and hammer at UC Irvine.

In her four years, under the tutelage of Coach Ciarelli, Devaney broke the school record in the hammer multiple times, beginning in her sophomore year.
