Cassie Klockgether

Cassie Klockgether enters her second year as the UC Irvine women's basketball program's Director of Operations in 2023-24.

In Klockgether's first year on staff, the Anteaters won the first Big West regular-season title in program history and advanced to the second round of the WNIT. They also set school records in overall wins (25) and conference wins (16).
 
Klockgether came to UCI after spending one year as an assistant coach at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith. Her duties with the Lions included game preparation, travel, recruiting and academics, while she was also the liaison to numerous departments including finance and compliance.
 
Prior to her stint in Arkansas, Klockgether was the associate head coach at Westcliff University in Irvine from 2019-21. Her responsibilities for the rising NAIA program included fundraising, budgeting, admissions, academics, scheduling, organizing practice plans, scouting opponents, training and skill development. During her time with the Warriors, Klockgether was given the David McKinney Award for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
 
Klockgether was also previously an assistant coach at Central Washington, and served as the varsity head coach at Montgomery High School in San Diego. She guided the Aztecs to the 2015 CIF Finals, three consecutive league championships and back-to-back 20-win seasons. In addition, Klockgether has international experience as she is currently the assistant coach for the 18u Gilas Pilipinas National Team, and has spent time in Singapore coaching club teams and private training sessions.
 
Klockgether played at Saddleback College where she was an all-state and all-conference selection. She went on to earn her bachelor's degree in sociology from Stony Brook University and her master's in athletic administration and coaching from Concordia University (Irvine).
