Yacoubian joined the Academic and Student Services staff in October of 2018, where she currently serves as the Academic & Life Skills Coordinator for the Men’s Water Polo, Men’s Volleyball, Women’s Golf, Women’s Soccer and Women’s Basketball teams.

In addition to these responsibilities, she coordinates all department based Life Skills programming for UCI student-athletes including all Welcome Back Events, Student-Athlete Career Fair and Cross Campus Collaborations. Yacoubian also oversees the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Prior to UCI, Yacoubian worked at UCLA as an Academic Mentor for the Football and Baseball teams. She attended University of Oregon, earning a B.S. in Psychology in 2017 and was a member of the 2014 National Champion Acrobatics and Tumbling team. In 2018, Mari received her M.Ed. in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership from University of Washington
