Biography

2017 (Senior)
• Earned USTFCCCA second-team All-America accolades with a 14th-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles at the NCAA Championships
• Made his third-straight appearance at nationals after coming in second in his heat and fifth overall at the NCAA West Prelims (13.60w)
• Ran a wind-legal season-best 13.61 to defend his Big West title
• Became just the third athlete in conference history to complete a three-peat in the 110H
• Member of both of UCI’s All-Big West relay teams
• Helped the 4x100 squad garner runner-up honors in a season-best 40.62
• Led off the Big West champion 4x400 that clocked in with a season-best 3:09.19
• That time also qualified them for the NCAA West Preliminary Championships
• Added individual victories in the 110H at the UCI Spring Break Collegiate Classic, UCR Spring Classic Invitational, Mondo Team Challenge and Big West Challenge
• Established a personal-record 13.55 (3.3 wind) in a second-place finish at the adidas/Steve Scott Invitational
• Collected his sixth career Big West Men's Track Athlete of the Week award on March 28
• Advanced to the 110H semifinals at the USA Track & Field Championships where he was 16th overall

2016 (Junior)
• Received USTFCCCA All-America honorable mention recognition
• Named the co-Big West Men's Track Athlete of the Year
• First 'Eater to win the award since Charles Jock in 2012
• Repeated as the Big West Champion in the 110m hurdles, running 13.64, which was the second-fastest time in the history of the meet since its inception in 1970
• Went on to place third overall at the NCAA West Preliminaries, tying his season-best of 13.61 and qualifying for nationals
• Came in 17th at the NCAA Championships
• Two-time Big West Men's Track Athlete of the Week
• Competed at the U.S. Olympic Trials, where he was seventh in his heat and 27th overall

2015 (Sophomore)
• Advanced to the NCAA Championships after shattering his own school record in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 13.60 at the NCAA West Preliminaries
• Finished 17th at nationals to garner USTFCCCA All-America honorable mention distinction
• Won his heat and had the second-fastest qualifying time at the West Prelims
• Claimed the Big West 110H title at 14.05 seconds, making him UCI’s first champion in the event since 2012 and just the second in 27 years
• Initially broke a 32-year old school record of 13.80 at the Steve Scott Invitational where he clocked in at 13.79
• Also helped the 4x400 relay to a season-best 3:13.51
• Three-time Big West Men's Track Athlete of the Week
• Closed out the campaign with four first-place finishes in the 110H

2014 (Freshman)
• NCAA West Preliminary qualifier in the 110m hurdles as a true freshman
• Named the Big West Men's Freshman of the Year
• Big West runner-up in the 110m hurdles with a season-best 14.01
• Also a conference qualifier in the 400H, 4x100 and 4x400
• Won the 110H at the Big West Challenge and UC Riverside Spring Break Invitational
• Cal-Nevada champion in the 400m hurdles
• Ran a lifetime-best 51.71 to come in third at the adidas/Steve Scott Invitational

High School
• Graduated from Serra High School in 2013
• Competed in football, basketball, and track
• Earned All-America honors in the 4x400 relay in 2012
• State champion in the 110m hurdles as a junior and in the 300m hurdles as a senior
• Helped his team claim the state title in 2012-13
