Lee-McNeill, who has been involved in track & field for over a decade, competed four years at UCI. As a senior, she established the fourth-best 400m hurdle time in program history at 59.09 seconds. She garnered All-Big West honors in the 400 hurdles with a runner-up finish at the conference championships in 2015, while she also scored in the event as a sophomore (4th) and senior (5th). In addition, Lee-McNeill was a member of the Anteaters' 4x400 relay team.

Lee-McNeill graduated from UC Irvine in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in sociology and African American studies.

She is from Bakersfield, Calif., and went to Liberty High School.
