Brian Lanoye joins the UC Irvine men's soccer coaching staff as an assistant and goalkeeper coach for 2017.

Lanoye made the move from Cal Poly Pomona along with Head Coach Raz after two successful campaigns as an assistant coach at CPP. The Broncos reached the NCAA Division II Tournament in each year reaching the West Regional Finals last season and finishing as the National Championship runner-up in 2015. In the two seasons, the program produced five All-Americans and, in 2016, set a school record for shutouts.

Prior to his time at CPP, Lanoye came from Cal State Fullerton where he is an alum and spent eight seasons with the coaching staff. Lanoye began as an undergraduate assistant in 2006 and spent four seasons in that position, and upgraded to graduate assistant and goalkeeper coach in 2010 before leaving for CPP in 2014. The Titans earned a Big West Tournament title in 2014 with its goalkeeper honored as Tournament MVP along with a season that saw the squad tie its school record for shutouts.

Lanoye completed his education at Cal State Fullerton in 2013 receiving a Master's of Science in Kinesiology and Sport Psychology building on his Bachelor's of Science, also in Kinesiology, he acquired in 2010.

Outside of the collegiate realm, Lanoye recently joined the Slammers Futbol Club coaching staff in 2017.
