The redshirt sophomore at UCI finished fourth in the 2011 Costa Mesa City Championship and qualified for the 2011 Long Beach Open with a round of 66...tied for 29th at the 2011 California State Fair Championship...competed for Orange Coast College in 2009-10, earning All-Orange Empire Conference first-team honors...led OCC's conference-championship team in scoring...placed fifth at the 2010 Sectional Championship...graduate of Estancia High School, where he was a four-time All-Orange Coast League first-team member...he won the 2009 league title and was a CIF Sectional qualifer in 2008 and 2009...three-time team MVP...also played varsity basketball for four years, serving as team captain in 2008-09...majoring in political science...has a younger brother, Jake...parents are Bob and Jennifer Knapp.
