Jim Shufelt is in his 17th year as an assistant coach with the UC Irvine men's golf team.

Since joining the staff in 2006-07, the Anteaters have won five Big West titles and made six NCAA Regional appearances. They advanced to the 2008 NCAA Championships in Shufelt's second season as an assistant.

During Shufelt's tenure, UC Irvine men's golf has produced five Big West Players of the Year, 17 All-Big West awards and two all-region selections.
