Anteater Trio Named Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars

NORMAN, Okla. - For the second year in a row, three Anteaters were named Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
Senior Rei Harashima, junior Jason Tang, and sophomore Jack Yu were part of an elite group of 649 NCAA Division I men's golfers to receive the award for the 2025-26 season. It is the third career honor for Harashima, second for Tang, and first for Yu.
To be eligible, an individual must be at least a sophomore both academically and athletically, maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2, have participated in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, and own a stroke average under 76.00.
Rei Harashima, who earned his fourth career All-Big West honor in 2025-26, led the Anteaters with a 72.61 average. Harashima was the team's top finisher in eight of their 11 tournaments including at the Big West Championship where he tied for seventh at 4-under 212 (74-67-71). He also had a season-best fifth-place showing with a 6-under 210 (74-68-68) at the UC San Diego Invitational. Harashima recently graduated with a degree in economics.
Jack Yu ranked second on the squad with a 74.23 stroke average. Yu played in all but one tournament on the year. He registered a season-best 6-under 210 (69-6972) at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational. Yu also came in below par at the Lamkin Invitational where he tied for 18th.
Jason Tang rounded out UCI's top-three in season average at 75.36. He was in the Anteaters' lineup for every tournament with a pair of top-25 showings. Tang tied for 21st at the Oregon State Invitational and tied for 23rd at the Big West Championship. He is majoring in business administration.
