Five UC Irvine Players Earn All-Big West Distinction

IRVINE, Calif. – The Big West coaches recognized five UC Irvine men's volleyball players on the all-conference teams, highlighted by opposite William D'Arcy and outside hitter Andrej Jokanovic on the first team.

Middle blocker Trevor Clark and libero Shane Aitken were named honorable mention, while setter Cameron Kosty joined Jokanovic on the All-Freshman Team.

D'Arcy earns first team honors after claiming honorable mention All-America and All-Big West accolades a year ago. The senior is eighth in the Big West with a 3.05 kill average, eighth in points at 3.56 and 14th in hitting percentage with a .289 mark. He has recorded kills in double-figures 18 times this season, including a career-high 22 at BYU.

Jokanovic is one of the most decorated freshmen in UCI history, becoming the third freshman to be named to the first team (Hilir Henno, Carson Clark). His seven Big West Freshman of the Week honors are the most by an Anteater and he is the third frosh to be named AVCA National Player of the Week. He ranks fifth in The Big West in kills (3.50), aces (.041) and points (4.17), while also standing eighth in digs (1.51) and 12th in hitting percentage (.295). Jokanovic had a career-high 23 kills versus CSUN, the third most by a Big West player, and his six aces versus Hawaii are tied for fifth most in 2026. He was the lone freshman on the AVCA's first Player of the Year Watch List.

Clark leads the Big West in hitting percentage with a .519 mark, hitting over .600 nine times this season. The junior is averaging 1.92 kills and 0.95 blocks per set, which is fourth best in the Big West. He rejected a career-high seven total blocks twice this season.

Aitken, who was an honorable mention All-American in 2025, picks up his first Big West accolade.  He is averaging 2.00 digs in league matches, which tops The Big West. The sophomore has recorded double-digit digs eight times this season, including a career-high 15 digs in the first meeting versus UC Santa Barbara. His 15 digs are tied for second most by a Big West player this year.

Kosty averages 8.42 set assists per set overall and 9.33 versus Big West opponents, which ranks third among league players. He has 16 aces and 52 kills on the year. The setter has recorded at least one block assist in all but two matches he has played in and has 37 total this year. Kosty totaled a career-high 54 set assists versus Hawaii, which is the third most by a Big West player this season.

The Anteaters are ranked No. 5 nationally and will face No. 18 CSUN Thursday in the first round of the Big West Championship at the Bren Events Center. First serve is 7:30 p.m.
