BOISE, Idaho - UC Irvine men's tennis fell to No. 63 Boise State, 4-0, Sunday morning at Appleton Tennis Center.

The Anteaters (7-6) saw their four-match win streak come to an end, while the Broncos earned their third-straight victory to improve to 17-6 overall. Five of UCI's six losses have come to teams ranked among the top-65 in the nation.

In doubles, Sohrob Amiryavari and Alex Guajardo got out to a hot start on court three, winning the first three games, but Taiyo Kurata/Idriss Haddouch took six of the next seven to complete the 6-4 comeback effort. The home team then closed out a 6-3 triumph at No. 1 for the early 1-0 advantage.

Boise State earned straight-set singles wins at the top two spots in the lineup to go up, 3-0. The 'Eaters continued to fight as Sohrob Amiryavari (3-6, 6-3, 2-2) and Ruining Huang (6-4, 1-6, 4-5) both forced a third frame at Nos. 4 and 5, respectively. Their matches ended up going unfinished.

On court six, Greg Gamal, who has won his last seven matches, was down 5-7, 2-5 against Kurata before saving match point in the second set. He rode that momentum to a 6-5 lead before his match was also abandoned as the Broncos clinched the team win with a 6-4, 6-4 victory at the third position.
