  • Multiple Anteaters recorded their first career dual match singles victories against Occidental on Thursday, with Quin Brady, Ani Vanetsyan and Lindsay Kim all picking up their first career singles victories.

  • Bowling Green, Richmond and Colorado State are all new opponents to UC Irvine's courts, joining Houston and Nevada as the final new guests for UCI this season

Scouting Bowling Green

Bowling Green (6-4) enters play against UC Irvine on Monday (Mar. 2) after taking down Northern Kentucky at home, 7-0. The Falcons compete in the MAC, where in 2025 BGSU went winless in conference play, dropping all 10 matches played. Bowling Green went 9-14 overall in the 2025 dual match season.

The Falcons will return No. 1 line singles player Tia Clemens, who won 14 matches in singles in 2025 and is coming off of a two-set win against Northern Kentucky.

First serve against Bowling Green will be at 1:30 p.m.

Scouting Oakland

Oakland (2-7) visits UC Irvine on Mar. 4 as part of a two-match road trip to California that includes Redlands and UCI. The Golden Grizzlies two dual match wins to this point in the season include wins at Northwood University and Dayton. Winless since the victory against Dayton, Oakland will head to Redlands on a five-match losing streak before visiting UC Irvine.

The Anteaters took down Oakland in the programs' one matchup, a 7-0 victory for UCI in 2025. The Golden Grizzlies went 7-10 overall in the 2025 dual match season.

First serve will be at 2:00 p.m.

Scouting Seton Hall

The Pirates (4-6, 1-1) come to UC Irvine's courts as the last stop on their tour of the Big West — Seton Hall will take on UC Riverside and Long Beach State, respectively, before coming to Irvine on Thursday (Mar. 5). Seton Hall will have nearly two weeks off before facing Riverside, with its last match being a victory at Providence, 7-0.

Seton Hall is led by freshman star Kira Farrakhova, who is 5-2 at the No. 1 position in singles in 2025. The Pirates went 12-12 overall in 2025, going 1-6 in Big East play, falling to #1 Connecticut in the Big East Championship in the second round.

The Anteaters' first serve against Seton Hall will be at 1:00 p.m.

Scouting Colorado State

Colorado State (3-6) takes on UC Irvine on Saturday (Mar. 7), entering the dual on a four-match losing streak, dropping its last dual to #72 North Florida. The Rams are one win away from matching their total wins in 2025, when CSU went 4-18 overall including a 2-8 record in Mountain West play.

First serve against CSU will be at 11:00 a.m.

Scouting Richmond

The Spiders (1-6) will head to California for a three-match trip that includes Cal State Fullerton, UC Irvine and Cal State Northridge. Richmond will visit Irvine on Mar. 10, after facing Fullerton.

Richmond's sole win on the season came against UNC Greensboro, a 6-1 victory. The Spiders enjoyed a successful dual match season in 2025, going 16-7 overall and going all the way to the Atlantic 10 Championship round, where Richmond fell to #5 VCU as the #3 seed.
