Box Score SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – UC Irvine snapped a four-game winning streak with a 84-79 defeat to UC Santa Barbara inside The Thunderdome Saturday evening.

HEAD COACH RUSSELL TURNER SAID:
"We got out-played tonight by Santa Barbara and that's a credit to them. Our team was ready and had a good start, but when the game's physicality and competitiveness increased in intensity they were better than we were and that allowed them to build a big enough lead that we couldn't come all the way back from. I'm disappointed in our performance. I'm disappointed to have gotten a technical foul, I'm disappointed for getting ejected and I don't want that to reflect poorly on our program or UC Irvine. I'm sure we and I will respond well and be better."
