UC Irvine Selected For ESPN Wildcard Game Feb. 7

IRVINE, Calif. -- The men's basketball game at UC Santa Barbara has been selected as ESPN's national television wildcard game and will be broadcast on ESPNU. The game will now tip at 7:00 p.m. from The Thunderdome.

Dave Feldman and Corey Williams will call the action.

UC Irvine stands on top of the Big West with a 7-2 mark with UCSB currently trailing a game behind at 6-3. The Anteaters are one of te country's best defensive teams checking in at third in field goal percentage defense (37.5) and in blocks (6.1) and 10th in defensive rebounds (28.81). Senior Kyle Evans leads the country in blocks (67) and blocking average (3.19).

It will be the second nationally televised game in as many weeks after the Anteaters host Hawaii tomorrow (Jan. 29) on ESPNU at 8:00 p.m. at the Bren Events Center.
