UCI Places 43 on 2025 Big West Fall All-Academic Team

IRVINE, Calif. – UC Irvine had 43 student-athletes named to the 2025 Big West Fall All-Academic Team the conference office announced Thursday afternoon.
Each of the Anteaters' six fall sports had multiple representatives on the all-academic list. Men's water polo led the way with 13 honorees. Men's soccer, which won the 2025 Big West Championship, had nine selections, while women's cross country and women's soccer had eight each. Women's volleyball (3) and men's cross country (2) rounded out the group.
To be eligible for the Big West Fall All-Academic Team, student-athletes must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, complete one full year at their member institution prior to the season for which the award is being received (at least a sophomore academically), and compete in at least 50% of their team's contests. Cross country student-athletes can also meet the participation requirement by competing in the Big West Championship.
