Brittney Sok Joins UC Irvine Women's Golf Staff

IRVNE, Calif. – Brittney Sok has joined the UC Irvine women's golf team as an assistant coach.

"We have gone through a transition from coach and player to mentor to now colleague," head coach Margo Dionisio said. "Having two of us on the course to talk about course management and shot selection should only make this year even better for us."
Sok comes to UCI after serving as the head men's and women's coach at Hope International University from 2021-2025.

On the women' s side, Sok was named the 2023 and 2024 Great Southwest Athletic Conference (GSAC) Coach of the Year. She helped the Royals capture the 2024 conference championship and make their first appearance at the NAIA Championships.

While at Hope, Sok's women's team was ranked in the NAIA Top 25 three consecutive years, while the men's team was ranked in the Top 60 with an individual player ranked in the Top 25. She also mentored 13 players to Daktronics Scholar-Athlete honors.
She is reunited with Dionisio who was an assistant coach at Cal State Fullerton when Sok was a player.

Sok graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 2019 with a degree in kinesiology, playing in 21 career tournaments for the Titans from 2015-19. As a junior, Sok recorded a career-best performance of tied for 12th place at the Big West Championships where she also set a new career-best score for a tournament at 225. She posted a career-best single round score of 71 several times in her career.

Sok is a 2015 graduate of Yorba Linda High School, lettering three years for the Mustangs after earning one letter at Esperanza High School. She was named most valuable player at Esperanza High School and most inspirational at Yorba Linda High School.
