IRVINE, Calif. – Coming off one of the most successful seasons in UC Irvine history, head coach Margo Dionisio's 2025-26 women's golf team will play eight tournaments plus compete for a Big West Championship. The schedule covers seven states and features two new tournaments.
"I'm excited to kick off this season!" Dionisio said. "Last year our team reached several important milestones, and we are ready to build on that progress. I feel like we'll have another special year."
UC Irvine starts the season at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic Sept. 22-24 at the Red Sky Ranch and Golf Club in Wolcott, Colo. The Anteaters finished sixth at the event last season, recording a 54-hole total of 870 (289-290-291), the second lowest score in program history.
UCI then heads to The Molly Collegiate Invitational hosted by Oregon State at the Trysting Tree Golf Course in Corvallis, Ore. on Sept. 29-30 before traveling to a new tournament, the Marilyn Smith Invitational hosted by Kansas on Oct. 6-7 at the Lawrence Country Club.
A familiar Fall tournament with a new name, the New Mexico State Golf Iconic Classic at the NMSU Golf Course will be held Oct. 13-15.
Following a winter break, the Spring schedule kicks off at the San Diego State Classic Feb. 9-10 followed by the always competitive Bruin Wave Invitational hosted by UCLA and Pepperdine on Feb. 23-24 at the Valencia Country Club.
Another new tournament, the Bell Bank "Pay it Forward" Invitational, is co-hosted by Minnesota and the University of St. Thomas at the Wigwam Golf Club in Peoria, Ariz. on Mar. 23-24. Then the Anteaters will play in the Silicon Valley Showcase Mar. 29-31 to round out the regular season.
The Big West Championships will be held in Hawaii at the Lahaina Golf Course Apr. 19-21.
The Anteaters are coming off one of its best statistical seasons in school history. The 2024-25 UCI squad won two tournament titles and set the school mark for the lowest team score.
