UC Irvine Set to Play in Live Like Lou Las Vegas Classic

LAS VEGAS, Nev. --- UC Irvine is part of the four-team field for the third annual Live Like Lou Las Vegas College Baseball Classic set to participate taking place from Feb. 27 to March 1, 2026.

The field of elite baseball powers includes Vanderbilt, Oregon, and Arizona playing in this top-tier event at Las Vegas Ballpark, which serves as the home of the Athletics' Triple-A affiliate, the Las Vegas Aviators, and is put on by Peak Events, LLC.

UC Irvine kicks the whole weekend tournament off with a 2:00 p.m. matchup against Vanderbilt on Friday, February 27. The 'Eaters will get Day Two going Saturday, February 28, at 12:00 p.m. against Oregon, and finish the weekend off with the final game, Sunday, March 1, against Arizona at 3:00 p.m.

The Anteaters are coming off a second straight NCAA Regional trip in 2025 where they finished with a 43-17 record and the program's third Big West title. Utah Valley was 25-9 a year ago, while New Mexico State went 17-15 and South Dakota State was 20-12 overall. Utah Valley advanced to the WAC Tournament championship game and the first round of the NIT.

Tickets can be purchased on a per-day basis or as a weekend package in select seating sections. Both reserved and general admission options are available at www.peak.events.
