Zamora Continues Success on ITF Men's World Tennis Tour

IRVINE, Calif. – Recent UC Irvine men's tennis graduate and Big West Player of the Year Noah Zamora has continued to see success on the ITF Men's World Tennis Tour. In the M15 Los Angeles event that took place June 30-July 6, Zamora won five matches to advance to the semifinals.
Zamora started the tournament with back-to-back three-set victories in the qualifying draw. He first took down Connor Church of USC, 2-6, 6-2, 10-7. Church had previously reached No. 2 in the Canadian U18 rankings. Zamora then outlasted a familiar opponent in UC Santa Barbara's Lucca Liu, 7-5, 3-6, 10-7, to earn a spot in the main draw.
In the first round, Zamora defeated Australian Oliver Clark Anderson, 7-5, 7-6 (6). He continued to roll with impressive victories over No. 6 seed Alexander Klintcharov (4-6, 7-6, 7-5) and No. 4 seed Isaiah Strode (7-6, 6-4). Zamora came up just short of the title match as he fell to top-seeded Dane Sweeny in the semifinals.
Earlier in June, Zamora also made it to the quarterfinal round of the M15 Rancho Santa Fe event.
Zamora was named the 2025 Big West Men's Tennis Player of the Year after leading UC Irvine to its second-straight conference championship, and third in the last four years. The San Diego native was also a four-time All-Big West selection in both singles and doubles. In the fall, Zamora qualified for the NCAA Singles Championships where he advanced to the Round of 32. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in business economics in June.
