Rei Harashima led the UC Irvine men's golf team with a top-12 finish at the 78th Western Intercollegiate Wednesday at Pasatiempo Golf Club.

Harashima closed out the tournament with a 54-hole score of 1-under 209 (67-69-73) to tie for 11th in an elite field of 91 golfers. Arizona's 80th-ranked Filip Jakubcik ran away with the individual title at 13-under.

No. 18 San Diego State claimed the team championship at 6-under 1044. No. 42 Stanford was five strokes back in second, while No. 22 Pepperdine dropped to third (1056).

The Anteaters came in 12th overall with a 6-count-5 total of 1095 (353-372-370).

Jack Yu carded a 69 for UCI's best round of the day. He had six birdies including on the 18th hole to get to 1-under. Yu climbed 21 spots in the standings to tie for 22nd at 3-over 213 (70-74-69).
Tommy Lin also tied for 47th with a three-round tally of 217 (70-73-74).
