
Nineteen Anteaters Named to MPSF All-Academic Team

IRVINE, Calif. -Β UC Irvine landed a program-record 19 student-athletes on the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Women's Indoor Track & Field All-Academic Team the conference office announced Thursday.

Montgomery Allison and Maggie SczupakΒ both earned their third career MPSF All-Academic honor .

Jackie Acosta, Lauren Aquino, Samantha Bartz, Makena Castillo, Nadia Combs-Mahone, DeAna Davis, Malia Gay, Reyna Johnson, Jolie Robinson and Lauren Thai also received the recognition for the second year in a row.

Sarah Ajayi, Nyla Baker, Jazzmine Davis, Kaia Schmidt, Halle Sutherland, Amelia Trautman and Anna Vogtmann were first-time honorees.

Six of the 19 'Eaters that made the all-academic team set a school record in 2025.

Gay, Trautman, Schmidt and Vogtmann took third in the distance medley relay at the MPSF Championships where they established a program-best 11:36.11. Gay also broke the 600m (1:32.23) and 800m (2:09.52) school records during the regular season.

Robinson established a long jump school-record 6.04 meters (19-9.75) in the pentathlon at the MPSF Championships. She went on to finish second in the conference with a personal-best 3,888 points, which ranks second among UCI's all-time leaders.

J. Davis, Aquino and Trautman were also part of the Anteaters' 4x400 relay that clocked a school-record 3:47.85 at the season-opening Silver & Blue Invitational.

In addition, Baker had a podium finish in the shot put at the MPSF Championships for the second year in a row, while Sutherland and Bartz made their way into UC Irvine's all-time top-five in both the 60m and 200m.

To be eligible for the MPSF All-Academic Team, student-athletes must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, be at least a sophomore academically, have completed one full academic year at their institution prior to the season for which the award is being received and have competed in a minimum of 50% of the team's meets.
