IRVINE, Calif. – No. 45 UC Irvine men's tennis saw its six-match win streak come to an end with a 6-1 loss to 10th-ranked Harvard Sunday at Anteater Tennis Stadium.

The 'Eaters are now 10-4 on the season with all four of their losses coming to teams that have been ranked among the top-25, including two against top-10 opponents.

Sophomore
Andy Nguyen earned the Anteaters' point with his ninth-straight singles win. Nguyen took down Valdemar Pape, 6-3, 6-4, on court two. He has not dropped a set since Feb. 23.

Noah Zamora were up 5-4 against No. 89 David Lins/Daniel Milavsky at the top of the lineup.

In singles, Mitchell Lee defeated
Sohrob Amiryavari, 6-3, 6-0, at No. 5. Masato Perera followed with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over
Max Fardanesh at the sixth position. Melchior Delloye then clinched the match with a 6-1, 7-5 triumph against
Ruining Huang on court four. Huang put up a fight as he was down 5-2 in the second before battling back to tie it up.

Mason Bui took the first set against Elisha Thornton before falling, 6-4, 0-6, 4-10.

UC Irvine will be back in action on Saturday, March 29, when it heads to Hawai'i for its Big West opener.
