RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The UC Irvine women's track & field team won five of their 10 events Saturday at the UCR Spring Classic.

Junior
DeAna Davis set the tone in the first event of the meet as she opened the hammer competition with a personal-record 57.32 meters (188-0). Through six rounds, Davis' mark stood as the best of the day by over 43 feet for her second individual victory of the season. She moved up to No. 3 in program history. Freshman
Kayla Smith was also third out of 14 with a toss of 42.33m (138-10).

Senior
Jolie Robinson took top honors in the long jump with a lifetime-best 6.19m (20-3.75). Robinson led wire-to-wire as she had an impressive series, surpassing 19 feet on all six attempts. She is the third Anteater to reach the 20-foot mark through three meets this year and now ranks fourth among UCI's all-time leaders. Junior
Zharia Taylor added a personal-best 5.63m (18-5.75).
Junior
Nyla Baker remained undefeated in the discus as she beat out a field of 16 athletes with a personal-best 49.85m (163-6). Baker moved up one spot to No. 7 in school history. Freshman
Pinkie Schnayer claimed runner-up honors with a season-best 43.54m (142-10). Junior
Nadia Combs-Mahone (42.74m/140-2) and Smith (40.06/131-5) were also among the top five.

Schnayer placed first in the shot put for the second week in a row. She had a winning mark of 14.32m (46-11.75). Baker was second at 13.44m (44-1.25), while Combs-Mahone (13.20m/43-3.75) and freshman
Leilah Lauifi (12.56m/41-2.5) were third and fourth, respectively. It was a PR for Combs-Mahone and a season best for Lauifi.

Robinson was UC Irvine's top performer in the javelin where she placed second overall (38.13m/125-1).

On the track, senior
Jazzmine Davis finished ahead of the pack in the 400m hurdles, clocking a personal-record 60.86. Junior
Tatiana Sprock contributed a season-best 58.19 in the 400m.

The Anteaters are back in action next weekend when they host the Vince O'Boyle Track & Field Classic, March 28-29.
