FAIRFAX, VA – No. 5 UC Irvine controlled all assets of the game in a 3-0 sweep of George Mason (25-21, 25-17, 25-18) at the Recreation Athletic Complex.
The Anteaters out-hit (.397-.297), aced (9-1) and blocked (7-4) the Patriots.
Outside hitter
Hilir Henno was dominant, leading all players with 14 kills, hitting .409. He had a season-high six aces and a team-high seven digs. His six aces are the sixth most in the Big West this season.

THIRD SET
> UCI started with a 8-0 run on the strength of four aces and a kill by Henno
>Consecutive kills by Flexen, Henno and D'Arcy made it 11-1
>Grigoriev would slam an overpass, 17-7
>UCI led 23-13 when the Patriots went on a 5-1 run, four UCI errors, to keep it interesting, 18-24, but a GM service error ended the match 25-18
