
UC Irvine in 10th Through 36 Holes at Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate

PALM DESERT, Calif. – UC Irvine men's golf closed out the second round of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate Tuesday at the Classic Club.
The Anteaters dropped three spots in the standings to 10th with a two-round total of 578 (288-290). Colorado Christian took a three-stroke lead over Charlotte at 24-under. The Cougars' Sungyeop Cho also sits atop the individual leaderboard at 10-under 134 (68-66) and will enter tomorrow's final round with a one-stroke edge.
Junior Yaoting Zou birdied his last hole of the round to come in below par for the second day in a row. Zou is currently tied for 25th at 3-under 141 (70-71).
Freshman Tommy Lin and junior Rei Harashima both carded an even-par 72 on Tuesday. Lin is tied for 36th at 1-under 143 (71-72), while Harashima climbed 10 spots in the standings into a tie for 54th with a 36-hole score of 148 (75-72). Harashima fired a team-best five birdies on the day.
Freshman Jack Yu (148) and sophomore Jason Tang (150) rounded out UCI's 5-count-4 lineup in 59th and 68th, respectively.
The 'Eaters will be back in action Wednesday for the final round of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate starting at 9 a.m.
