LOS ANGELES – UCI came out on top, 6-1, at Occidental Saturday morning for their second straight win, third in the last four matches.
 
The Anteaters (3-4, 1-1) started out with the early 1-0 lead as Carolyna Fowler and Yen Nhi Huynh were partnered to take a 6-0 victory over Sydney Sasaki/Sebaga Kombo at No. 2 and the No. 3 duo of Maily Huynh and Nour Khayat followed, downing Ellise Jay/Julia Chun 6-0.
 
UC Irvine flexed their strength in singles with five consecutive straight set wins over the Tigers. M. Huynh finished first on court five with a 6-0, 6-2 win before Y. Huynh handled Sebaga Kombo at No. 4, 6-1, 6-0. The match was clinched with Bella Pitchford's 6-1, 6-3 at the sixth position.  
 
Action went on as Haily Huynh only dropped one set in her defeat of Sydney Sasaki (6-0, 6-1) at No. 3. Junior Amanda Perez finished the Anteater scoring of the day her 6-3, 6-3 rout at the top of the lineup.
