IRVINE, Calif. – Outside hitter
Madison Triplett tied her career-high in kills to lead UC Irvine to a sweep of UC Riverside (25-13, 25-18, 25-18) Saturday at the Bren Events Center.
After a lackluster offensive performance yesterday, the Anteaters bounced back with a .301 showing (42-8-113) versus the Highlanders, the second best mark of the season.
Triplett tied her career-best with a team-high 14 kills. She recorded her third career double-double with 14 digs, while adding two block assists and an ace in the win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

Kendra Duffey followed Triplett with 11 kills to go with six digs and two block assists

Lois Hansen totaled eight kills, while hitting .412 (8-1-17) to go with five block assists

>After a UCR kill, Rowe and Hansen returned an attempt back down to the floor for a 25-18 victory
THIRD SET
>UCI held a 6-4 lead then used three kills by Triplett another from
Kendra Duffey and an UCR attack error to move out 11-4
>Three in a row, including an ace inched UCR closer, 8-13
>After UCR went on a 4-1 run, UCI had back-to-back blocks both assisted by Hansen, to go up 22-14
>A kill by Duffey ended the set 25-18 and match 3-0
