LOS ANGELES – The UC Irvine men's tennis team wrapped up day two of the LMU Invite Saturday at LMU Tennis Center.

The Anteaters fell to the host Lions in doubles. UCI had two pairings making their debut together. One of those duos was
Sohrob Amiryavari and
Alex Guajardo who dropped a tightly-contested 6-4 decision to Cesar Cruz/Alex Padro at the No. 1 spot.

In singles, Amiryavari won his opening set against Denver's Theo Coats, but Coats bounced back for the 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 victory. The rest of the 'Eaters fell in straight sets to the Pioneers.

UC Irvine will close out the LMU Invite and its fall season on Sunday when it takes on Utah in doubles and LMU in singles.
