FIRST SERVE
UC Irvine is back at the Bren Events Center Friday and Saturday (Oct. 10-11). On Friday, the Anteaters take on CSU Bakersfield at 6:00 p.m. then CSUN Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
STORYLINES
UCI is 6-10 overall and 1-3 in the Big West.
The Anteaters picked up their first Big West win with a sweep of UC Riverside last week before falling to UC Davis, 1-3.
Kendra Duffey,
Sydnee Rowe and
Jessica Bates all had a team-high nine kills versus UCR.
Rowe had an impressive week, averaging 1.86 blocks and 2.29 kills, while hitting .441 (16-1-34).
In the win over the Highlanders, the middle blocker returned to her undergraduate stomping grounds and put away a career-high nine kills, while hitting .421 (9-1-19). She also had a match-high five block assists. Versus UC Davis, she recorded a career-high eight block assists with a .467 hitting performance (7-0-15).
In the defensive battle against UC Davis, UCI had a season-high 73 digs as well as 15 blocks. The 15 blocks are fifth most in the Big West this season.
THE OPPONENTS
CSUB is 3-13 overall and 0-4 in the Big West.
The Roadrunners have lost the last seven matches, including a pair of 1-3 decisions to CSUN and Hawaii a week ago.
UCI and CSU Bakersfield split a pair of matches last season. The Roadrunners won 3-1 at Crawford Hall and UCI won 3-1 in Bakersfield.
CSUN is 9-6 overall and 4-1 in the Big West.
Last time out, the Matadors knocked off Hawaii 3-0, beating the Rainbow Wahine for the first time since 2014. CSUN had a season-high .333 hitting percentage and a season-high 13 blocks in the win over Hawaii.
The Anteaters have won the last eight meetings with the Matadors.
CAMPBELL HAVING A CAREER

Campbell Jensen ranks fifth nationally in career digs among active Division I players and is 23
rd among all players with 1,655.
Last week, Jensen posted 30 digs versus UC Davis, two shy of her career-high. The 30 digs are second most in the Big West this year and tied for 14
th most in the country.
Jensen, who has recorded 20 or more digs five times this season, leads the Big West with a 4.53 dig average.
The senior also has a team-best 11 service aces.
THE WALL
UC Irvine has out-blocked its opponents eight times this season, including a season-high 18 against UC San Diego. The 18 blocks are tied for the most in the league this season.
The Anteaters are second in the Big West in blocking average (2.51) and total blocks (145.5). Those totals rank 50
th and 42
nd in the country, respectively.
UCI has recorded 10 or more blocks six times this season.
AT THE PINS
Senior
Kendra Duffey has led the Anteaters in kills in each of the last four outings and is averaging 2.60 kills per set.
Redshirt sophomore
Lois Hansen totaled a career-best seven block assists against the Aggies. Hansen is averaging 1.98 kills and 0.82 blocks per set overall. Over the last three matches, she is averaging 6.0 kills and 5.0 blocks.
Madison Triplett made her return to the lineup against UC Davis, recording a career-high 17 digs to go with eight kills. The sophomore is averaging 1.10 kills and 2.10 digs per set in 2025.
