SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – UC Irvine couldn't get the offense going in a 3-0 loss to Cal Poly (21-25, 19-25, 14-25) Friday night at the Mott Athletics Center.
UCI hit .092 (30-21-98), the fourth lowest of the season and lowest since Sept. 12. Cal Poly had 10 aces to the Anteaters' two.

Madison Triplett led the Anteaters with eight kills. She had six digs, an ace and a block assist

Nicole Feliciano had a double-double with 24 set assists and match-best 11 digs to go with three block assists

Kendra Duffey totaled seven kills and seven digs plus an ace and a block assist

SECOND SET
>Cal Poly jumped out to an early 6-2 lead
>A block by Rowe and Feliciano and a kill by Hansen inched UCI within 8-9
>The Anteaters would tie the score at 12-12 on a Mustang service error, and a pair of Triplett kills
>A kill by Rowe kept the set tied at 17-17 before Cal Poly scored four unanswered to take the 21-17 advantage
>The Mustangs would use a kill and back-to-back aces to win the set, 25-19
THIRD SET
>Cal Poly once again took an early lead, 7-2
>The Mustangs would increase the lead to 11-4 with three in a row
>A 4-2 spurt by UCI which started with a Triplett kill and ended with a Triplett ace made it 13-20
>The Mustangs would score the final three points, the last an ace, to win 25-14
