
Reyna Johnson Named MPSF Athlete of the Week

IRVINE, Calif. β Senior Reyna Johnson has been named the MPSF Women's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week.

Johnson had a pair of top-six finishes at the season-opening Silver & Blue Invitational in Reno, Nevada. She started the meet in the long jump where she was sixth with a leap of 5.89 meters (19-4). Her distance is the best in the MPSF this year and was just three inches shy of her school record.

Johnson also competed in the 60m hurdles where she finished fourth. In the prelims, Johnson clocked a personal-record 8.54, which ranks second in the MPSF and third in program history.

This is the second career MPSF weekly award for Johnson.

The Anteaters will be back in action next weekend with a return trip to Reno for the Nevada Invite/Multis, Jan. 23-25.
