IRVINE, Calif. – UC Irvine student-athletes were successful in the classroom following the 2024 Spring Quarter.

Following the Spring academic quarter, 113 student-athletes were honored on the Dean's List. To qualify for the Dean's List, individuals need 12 or more undergraduate graded units in a quarter with a GPA of 3.500 or better.

Men's cross country reclaimed their spot of the highest GPA for a men's team (3.52) while women's tennis came out on top with a 3.50 GPA, the highest for a women's program.
 
"What an achievement," exclaimed women's tennis head coach Elizabeth Ferris Smith.  "There is quite a bit of competition within our department to receive this honor and this group clearly sets high standards for themselves to maintain. They have found the balance between competition and travel along with their academics and work towards excellence in both. Also, big shout out to everyone in our academic's department for helping us achieve our goals!"

Overall, 17 UCI teams earned over a 3.0 GPA in the quarter.
