IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's tennis team came in at No. 69 in the final ITA Rankings, while graduate student
Enrique Luque Rico was featured among the top-125 singles players in the nation.

UCI first entered the rankings at No. 67 on May 2, after winning its second Big West Championship in the last three years. The second-seeded Anteaters defeated No. 3 seed Cal Poly, 4-1, in the semifinals before taking down top seed and 45th-ranked UC Santa Barbara, 4-1, in the final. The 'Eaters earned The Big West's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament where they made the trek to Fort Worth, Texas, to face eventual national champion TCU in the first round. They closed out the campaign with a 17-7 overall record.

Enrique Luque Rico was 123rd in the final ITA Singles Rankings. Luque Rico went 16-8 overall and 11-6 in duals while playing all of his matches at the top of the lineup. He had a signature win in the Big West championship match where he cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 victory over No. 72 Pablo Masjuan of UC Santa Barbara. Luque Rico is a two-time first-team All-Big West selection.
