IRVINE, Calif.— UC Irvine women's water polo adds two goalkeepers as part of a tremendous 2025 signing class.
Ella Walker | Goalkeeper | Oceanside, Calif. | El Camino HS | Orange Coast College
Ella Walker transfers to UC Irvine from nearby Orange Coast College where she was named to the CCCAA All-American Team. The All-Orange Empire Conference Second Team selection led the league in both save percentage and total saves during the 2023 season. Walker also competed with the swim program at OCC where she medaled in the 2024 OEC Championship in the 50-meter freestyle. The goalkeeper attended El Camino High School where her single season saves (448 saves) and saves in a game (21, three times) records still hold strong which both helped to earn her two All-League honors and an All-CIF selection her senior year. In the classroom, Walker was a three-time USA Water Polo Academic All-American.
Mayezie Loggins | Goalkeeper | Fresno, Calif. | Clovis West HS
Mayezie Loggins makes the trip down to Irvine from Fresno where she was a four-year letter winner in both swimming and water polo at Clovis West High School. After the completion of the 2023 campaign, the incoming freshman was named as the Tri-River Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year to go along with her third straight All-CIF Central Section honor. In both the 2021 and 2022 seasons, Loggins led her team to CIF titles. Competing with USA Water Polo, the goalkeeper received All-American Honorable Mention honors (2021) and then competed with the 2022 Cadet Futures team in Greece.
