During this Military Appreciation month, I would like to thank all the members of the military past and present that have fought for this country. Thank you to all the brave men and women who put their lives on the line to protect our freedom. I can especially appreciate what they do for us because of my cousin Shannon Zintgraff who is a 1st Lt Air Force Officer. She is currently a logistics officer stationed in Japan. I greatly admire her for joining the Air Force to help fight for something bigger than herself. Through her experiences, I now understand just how hard it is for military members to leave their homes and families. This is why I have so much respect for Shannon and everyone else who has been in the military.
