2024 MPSF Women's Indoor Track & Field All-Academic Team
IRVINE, Calif. - UC Irvine landed a program-record 16 student-athletes on the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Women's Indoor Track & Field All-Academic Team the conference office announced Tuesday.

Montgomery Allison, Sameen Andar, Maggie Sczupak and Deandra Tyler made the MPSF All-Academic Team for the second year in a row.

Jackie Acosta, Lauren Aquino, Samantha Bartz, Makena Castillo, Aryel Coats, Nadia Combs-Mahone, DeAna Davis, Malia Gay, Reyna Johnson, Reina Kabbara, Jolie Robinson and Lauren Thai were first-time honorees.

Andar had a runner-up finish in the 5,000-meter at the MPSF Championships. She broke her own school record with a time of 16:31.81.

Johnson broke her own school record at 5.97 meters (19-7) to claim the MPSF title in the long jump. She also scored in the 60m hurdles at the conference meet with a fifth-place finish, clocking a lifetime-best 8.58 seconds to tie for fourth in program history.

Tyler was the MPSF women's shot put champion, while Robinson made her way onto the podium with a third-place showing in the pentathlon.

To be eligible for the MPSF All-Academic Team, student-athletes must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, be at least a sophomore academically, have completed one full academic year at their institution and have competed in a minimum of 50% of the team's meets.
