Kailah McKenzie has been named The Big West Women's Field Athlete of the Week the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon.

McKenzie had three top-10 finishes at the Steve Scott Invitational, highlighted by an individual victory in the high jump. As the only athlete left in the competition, the Moreno Valley, California, native cleared a personal-record 1.77 meters (5-9.75) on her first attempt. That height ranks third in school history, first in The Big West, 26th in the region and 47th in the nation.

McKenzie also registered a wind-aided PR of 6.03m (19-9.5) to place fourth overall in the long jump. She is now second in the conference behind teammate
Reyna Johnson.

On the track, McKenzie added a lifetime-best 14.20 in the 100m hurdles.

This is the first career weekly award for McKenzie and fourth for the Anteater women this season.
