MARICOPA, Ariz. - The UC Irvine men's golf team wrapped up action at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic Tuesday at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.

The Anteaters tied for 17th at 1-over 865 (286-293-286). No. 70 Grand Canyon came in at 31-under to claim the team title. UNLV, which is ranked 51st in the nation, took second with a three-round total of 835 (-29).

UNLV's Yuki Moriyama was the individual medalist, carding a 17-under 199 (66-69-64).

Darien Zhao was UCI's top performer, firing a 3-under 69 in Tuesday's final round. He had three birdies and eagled the par-5, 576-yard 16th hole. Zhao climbed 25 spots in the standings to tie for 45th at 1-under 215 (73-73-69).

Rei Harashima also made a move on the final day, closing out the second round at 2-under 70, before registering a 71 (-1) through the final 18. Harashima had a steady third round with three birdies and 14 pars. He tied for 52nd with a 54-hole score of 216 (E).

Jason Tang (71-73-73) and
Jin Nakao (67-77-73) also tied for 60th at 1-over 217.

UC Irvine returns to action in two weeks when it heads to Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz for the prestigious Western Intercollegiate, April 15-17. It will be the Anteaters' final tune-up before the Big West Championships.
